Interview!

Today I had an interview at Capital One in the City, my second interview anywhere since I moved here.  (SWEET!) Yea, times have been tough, I left my previous job literally days before everything went haywire in the country.  Ever since getting a job has NOT been easy.

So yesterday, while organizing the second bedroom, putting up a new bookcase that's absolutely TALL (6 feet) all by my lonesome, I had a call from the Assistant manager wanting to set up and interview with me for today.  Obviously I said yes and went there this morning.  I was the first person interviewed for the position, hopefully that means something, especially since I was asked to come in before the others.

I got there this morning about 15 minutes early and instantaneously fell in love.  How could I not fall in love knowing there was a Starbucks literally inches from this branch, it was great!  So I met with the Branch Manager, Assistant Manager and the Supervisor all at the same time  (Ahh!!) in a conference room.  I was a bit intimidated but I pushed that aside and just acted like myself and I think it went quite well.  They asked about working at B of A, what I did there, why I left, where I worked before, about my education, if I planned on going back to school and kept it professional yet comfortable.  The position is full-time, 40 hours, benefits start as soon as one begins working, work weeks are Monday - Friday and the manager mentioned they weren't opened Saturdays.  Dink! Dink! That would be a.w.e.s.o.m.e!

So everything went well, the manager made it a point to let to me know he was quite impressed and told me they would call sometime next week with their decision.  I got their business cards, grabbed a Carmel Apple Spice from Starbucks and headed home to send out thank you emails.

Looking forward to their decision...
